System upgrades
Elcome has completed an impressive array of system upgrade projects. For the Indian Navy, the company upgraded legacy navigation sensors with ECDIS. VSAT work includes installation, commissioning, HAT, SAT, and training services on 152 vessels. Elcome has an in-house technical division to support chip-level upgrades of legacy systems. Combined with the company’s three decades of field service experience, Elcome’s engineers can complete a broad variety of system interface and equipment upgrade projects in locations both offshore and onshore.
Customised services that deliver results
Bespoke services
Elcome has demonstrated a unique capability to deliver services for specialized projects. For the Indian Navy’s U209 submarines, the company’s engineers upgraded steering stands, data distribution units, gyro compasses, and inertial navigation systems. For the Kilo Class of submarines, Elcome’s technical staff replaced obsolete radar equipment and installed chaff launchers. The firm also provides maintenance services for the Phalanx Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) and has installed / commissioned Integrated Bridge Systems (IBS) in numerous vessels.
All-inclusive and customized service solutions
Annual maintenance contracts
Elcome has entrusted with a large number of AMCs. Examples of these contracts include nine years of maintenance services for the ECDIS installed aboard naval ships and seven years of maintenance service for the National AIS project. AMCs can be both all-inclusive and customized to client requests. Customized AMCs are provided for communication, navigation and control systems including shore-based maintenance (SBMC). Elcome’s all-inclusive annual maintenance contracts include the benefits of rapid response, predictable maintenance costs, guaranteed availability of spare parts, and long-term maintenance coverage.
24/7 and on-board services
Service on request
Elcome provides ‘service on request’ to meet equipment repair and emergency service needs. For equipment purchased through Elcome, the company provides after-sales support including fulfilment of the manufacturer’s warranty coverage. Elcome also provides on-board repair services for a wide range of navigation, communications, and control systems. Several of the firm’s engineers are certified in BOSEIT (Basic Offshore Induction and Emergency Training) and provide services to offshore vessels and oil & gas platforms.

The company is audited and certified by DNV according to ISO 9001:2015 standards. The company is approved by OEM manufacturers such as Netwave, Rutter, Transas, Danelec, JRC Alphatron Marine, and Interchalt to conduct Annual Performance Test (APT) for their VDR/S-VDR.
